In Germany we're getting into the system when we're born. The parents have two weeks to tell the officials where the child is going to live. When you move somewhere else you have to register in your new town. Otherwise you can't vote in your new town. I don't understand how you guys have to do a census like this.

It is President Barack Obama who took down the citizenship question on the U.S. Census, hiding his childhood education in a foreign nation. This is real.

  5. James Mac777

    James Mac7776 日 前

The U.S. Census is required by constitutional law, and it is required to be every ten years, it determines Government funding and voting districts. It is a strange thing, the Government claims that the Census is too hard to be complete, but they have the IRS attack everybody every month for every penny that could be taken away. In fact, the Census helped start modern machine companies, such as IBM, to develop easier ways of counting people by machines. The political dimension is about the questions on the Census, and it can be anything. At the beginning of the U.S. Census one question was about the village idiot in your family or community (the Government wanted to know the village idiot counts). Questions that the Census should have are the number of people living in the home, who they are by legal name, their gender (male or female), their age, and their ethnic claims. On my DNA test, by probability, I am 90.1% northwest European, 78.2% Angelo-Saxon, 64.3% Scottish, 53.4% English, 39.2% Irish, 6.3% Dutch (all married in the wilderness or mining camp), while having an American family that has been around for 300-years (you know the apple orchards in Connecticut, my family was there when they were planted, we are the side of the family who went to the far west to discover that gold mines, forests (lumber), and silver mines go dry). The point being, everybody is from somewhere, even though it is American with roots that makes us cousins of the U.K. and Europe, and people make these claims. I have been to several Scottish gatherings to see what they look like, and the census should ask about the ethnic background of people, especially since so many people seek ethnic identity for Government things.

I still enjoy the show for its entertainment value, but it can't be trusted when it comes to factual reporting. I remember them making quite a few false claims in the "Medical Bias" episode that really shocked me. Saying that there "obviously aren't" physical differences between the races is not only ignorant, but dangerous. I thought we could trust this show, but clearly we can't. And while some people might say, "But they only made that one mistake". Maybe, that we know of. That's the thing with reporting. Either you can trust them completely, or not at all. If they lied/misinformed to you once, there's no way tell if they are doing it about other things as well. If a GOOD journalist makes a mistake, they print a redaction to make sure everyone knows. But this show has made mistakes and never addresses them.

@seigeengine you're clearly not interested in having an adult conversation and would rather sling unsubstantiated insults. I hope one day you'll be capable of seeing past your initial ignorant reaction to seeing opinions that differ from your own. Until then, have a wonderful day.

  15. seigeengine

    seigeengine15 日 前

@Daniel Campbell If a show is slightly wrong kind of, but not really, and in no way relevant to the point being made, will a deranged nutjob pretend it's a giant load of bull propaganda to justify disregarding it? You bet your ass.

  16. Daniel Campbell

    Daniel Campbell15 日 前

@seigeengine they literally make medical statements famed with, "Its obviously doesn't" while offering no literature or sources backing up that claim. Medical bias exists and it's terrible. We need to do everything in our power to combat it. But misinformation being spread simply because someone wants to point a finger and say, "LOOK! RACISM!" is not what we need to stop it. I'd recommend looking up "Dr. Mike" and his reaction to the Medical Bias episode. He breaks it down nicely. But the main point that I am making is that if a show is willing to misinform the viewers on one topic then what is stopping them from doing it on others? Either a news source needs to be 100% trustworthy or it cannot be trusted at all.

So I realize it's an old episode, but I had to laugh a little bit at the jokes about Trump guessing there's a question on the census asking how many toilets you have in your house. Here in Canada, our censuses are every five years, and a random selection of households are given what's called the "long form census." It's exactly what it sounds like - it's the census, but with a lot more questions for a richer dataset. The point is, I'm ABSOLUTELY SURE that one of the questions in the long form census REALLY DOES ask how many toilets are in your house.

Drumpf is so out of touch with the people who live in the real world. He doesn't understand that not everyone has a computer, internet access, food, clothing, money, healthcare that is actually helpful and affordable, and not everyone has 10 toilets in their house. He's a moron. And to make it worse, I'm almost positive that he has dementia. Rich people like him really need to be cut down to size. Let them live like me for a week. Hell, I don't think they would survive a week. Within the first day they would either commit suicide or try to commit a robbery cause they don't have a clue what it's like to be broke and poor. Some live the American dream. To the rest of us, it's a nightmare that you'll never wake up from.

@indigetes I am glad you replied, it gives me a chance to say this... Americans are spoiled by their rights but that isn't a complaint. Once you become a criminal you lose the right to vote if it is a felony. If you are a sexual criminal, you must report moving so they can see if you are too close to churches, schools or parks. *Interjection here, I am a victim/survivor so this comes from the heart... they should be put on a freaking island with others of their same ilk because they have the highest crime repeat stats.* Freedom has its drawbacks, mainly, when you lose it you act entitled that you should get it back. Personally I think there should be some education about what freedom actually means. I have seen traffic offenders act like they are being mistreated because they have no license or understanding of road rules but they are miffed because they must know road laws. It makes me hurt inside about how minorities are still to this day being treated like the Jim Crow laws still apply and how some people of the caucasian race still think dark skinned people are lesser than they. Sorry about the diatribe, I woke up sick and needed some venting. LOL...thank you for sharing, can I ask what country you are from? Americans would feel like if they are not criminals, they shouldn't have to do these things.

  71. indigetes

    indigetesヶ月 前

I didn't even know USA needed to do this. I was added to my country census 3 days after I was born and will be removed after I die. If I move somewhere else within the country I'm supposed to report this three months before the next elections (only if I want to vote there).

I wonder what an error this sars 2.0 will create? They should have done the census 2019 unless the purpose is to kill of those, who are not yet in register. So the whole generation of children can just disappear without nobody knowing anything better. 'No, this novel covid does not kill any kids...well how do you know? Nobody has counted the amount of kids less than ten years old! In Nordic countries every baby will be registered and every visitor will be checked outside the EU. But in the case of emergency, the phones are being used. Everybody has a mobile phone, so they can watch how many people are where and how they move around the city. Nobody has to answer anything. They will know it all unless you remove the sim card and the battery away from your phone or slip it into a metal box or so I am being told by Media. Oh by the way, I noticed a new reason the device is not always charging any longer. The device port can have too much dust and stuff in it, which you need to remove by a needle first. Then the charger can get deeper and start to do its job. 😎😉😂
